PAL-V LIBERTY UNFOLD - Come take me for a ride!
PAL-V is a Dutch pioneer in mobility innovation. Its Liberty model is the world's first commercially certified flying car: a unique combination of a three-wheeled car and a gyroplane. The vehicle transforms from driving mode to flight mode in a matter of minutes — an engineering achievement that calls for clear visual communication.
We were commissioned to create an animation explaining the Liberty's unfolding mechanism. The animation is used on its website and in presentations to highlight the vehicle's innovative character.
Scrollytelling is an interactive form of storytelling in which imagery and content flow seamlessly together. On the otherwise minimalist white website, the Liberty suddenly turns its nose towards you — a striking visual moment that immediately catches the eye. As you scroll, the animation plays step by step, precisely as the corresponding specifications appear. This makes complex engineering accessible and visually impressive.
